Re: MX5OC Track Day Charity Plate
Hi peeps, Quick update. I eventually managed to get to the Honeyrose Foundation, and made the donation on behalf of 'The Menders'. It was very well received, and the certificate/letter of receipt will be forwarded on to Wayne's home address. Next - and final - will be from Wayne, as he is going to s...

MX5OC Track Day Charity Plate
Hi Guys, A week last Friday I met Wayne at his work and he gave me an envelope containing £200 which was raised by helping owners do repairs to their cars at the event. I lent Wayne my company van to transport his tools/spare parts etc. to Blyton, and it was suggested by some of the menders to donat...

Re: Mr T's 1.6 turbo
"Me car" is now back home having been MOT'd (with advisory regarding welding - sills, which is another story. Cue 'Fat Fenders'). Wayne has had it for over a fortnight, and has totally transformed the car. Suspension, engine, and a check over all-round for an MOT. Yes, it's cost a few quid...

Because I think he has realised that he would kill the car being used and would not stay in that condition if he did .

Re: Is it Speedy's old un' ?
What I meant regarding 'useable', was, for instance, the brake discs. Don't they still have the protective coating on them that stops them rusting prior to fitting, or did the air chamber prevent it. Also, I imagine the last thing on a concourse car would be grease showing, so would lots of areas re...

Is it Speedy's old un' ?
Was trolling through Internet and found this on Pistonheads... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/mazda/mx-5-mk1/mazda-mx5-mk1/4979851 First question...Well, is it ? And secondly, am I right in thinking that could not be practically driven on the road as it is, and would need quite a b...

Re: V8 MX5 build project
Just watched it 'cover to cover', and that has got to be the ultimate mx5. If you don't fancy watching it all, then go straight to the last episode (no 12).
How could that car be possibly improved ?

V8 MX5 build project
Hi Guys, Something I found on YouTube which I am currently watching . I'm up to episode 4, and I've got to say, it's not too bad. If you enjoyed the likes of 'A Car is born' or 'A car is re-born' this is well up the street of MX5 owners/enthusiasts. Maybe something for Wayne himself, as he was talki...

Just took delivery of their tool chest and cabinet and have got to say - that for the money - it is one hell of a nice piece of kit, and reduced down to less than £300 from over £600. 12 ball bearing drawers, on wheels, with draw liners. When I first started reading the thread I thought this was a rugby league/rugby union thing, which reminds me of when I was asked what the difference was between the 2 codes. He then told me: Rugby Union is a game for animals played by gentlemen, and Rugby League is a game for gentlemen played by an...
