Lidl Aldi Smart Car Battery Chargers £14

That time of year again. They are in Aldi now and Lidl on Thursday 22nd September also lots of other stuff you never knew you needed and have lived life in the past without! The units in Aldi may be Scotland only as I have noticed that the Scottish stores can have different offers. Yes what a sado c...

Re: Space saver tyres - do they fit in the boot ok?

There is a Hyundai that has a similar size wheel and tyre. It only fits on the rear as the front caliper gets in the way. Therefore if you get a front tyre puncture you have to change a rear tyre first then use that to do the front. From about 2010, I cannot remember the exact date, Mazda stopped su...

Re: Need wing mk1 and water wash holder

There is no need to be a member of the OC. You can register on the OC forum as a user and pm Robert there.

He said the other day they are overstocked on Mk1 and Mk2 spares and are reducing prices on these car parts apart from hoods.

Re: Nc clunking noise at rear

Get the back end in the air in a safe manner. On each of the antiroll bar drop link fixing bolt put a breaker bar on each one and give them a good pull and listen and look for movement in the joint. Do the fronts as well. Change the ones that are loose. Rear wheels off and check the rear pads are no...

Re: Cut out when using right indicator

That is an electrical fault probably a bad earth.

If you are competent with electrics trace all the earth wires on that car to find the fault with probably a bad connection to the body.

If you are not handy with car electrics it is a job for an autoelctrician.

Re: Mx5 mk2.5 electrical issue

You are saying here that you lifted the passenger side carpet and found no water next to the ECU or are you saying that you only felt the top of the watererproof passenger carpet that would not allow any dampness through if there was water below to convince yourself that the carpet was not damp or w...

Yes spend £8 on a bluetooth code reader and find the fault code via your phone or a bit more on a hand held code reader via ebay.

Re: Spare keyfob

Wayne does not have a Scooby if it is allright as you have not done your homework as you have not read the instructions the seller has given. The posters to your question on the owners club forum were little help. Go back to the ebay page and do as instructed by the seller and separate the key from ...

Re: Mazda MK1 (M Reg) for sale

Three to five hundred could have that back on the road for another year if there is nothing else wrong but sills need stripped to check how much work is needed in there and may not be a nice surprise.

Re: New battery time...

MX5 parts sell this expensive larger battery kit that is a larger tray and longer U bolt but with postage say £45 and none in stock. http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/battery-fitting-mk1-p-3676.html That would let the cheaper type "063" battery to be fitted securly. A lot of modern batteries have ...

Re: New battery time...

Yes dimension wise these are the three that will fit 100%.

The Westco gets a bad name for not lasting that long.
