I have to agree with Mm, this could be a great must have tool for all Mk1 and early Mk2 owners, the designer /builder obviously has the knowledge and expertise to make this into what it should be, but it does need a bit of fettling and tidying up to make it the finished article. Mechanicals are my 1st choice as I despair at auto rlectrics, I leave the diagnostics to my mate but from what I have read so far would support your view in an immoboliser fault.

Mm is your man but the distance from Mm HQ doesnt help.

That looks like the socket on a mk1, so you will need to get onto autolink and buy one of the flash tests devices.

I could be wrong ?

From memories of my now departed mk2 and 2.5, the OBDIi port was under a pop off cover to the bottom right of the steering wheel
