Re: Does a hardtop protect sills?

For a while the green one (2003 Sport) was a daily driver and used all year round and kept outside. Its rust issue wasn't due to water ingress via the drain holes but by the way the rear sill/arch was constructed at manufacture in that the seams were not water tight so let water in. The red un (1991...

Re: Does a hardtop protect sills?

I'm no expert by a long shot but its my understanding that the main cause of the water ingress is owners failling to ensure that all the relevant drainage points are kept clean. Our 91 Eunos has never had a hard top fitted and as of now we dont have any such corrosion issues. On the 2003 sport it ha...

Re: Mk 2 blue VS 1.8 import project...wayne mansion

Good to have a catch up with Mm today, talked cars well not so much cars as MX5s. Good result with the rocker cover but going to wait to see how the one for the redun turns out. Might just see if the upholsterers who did my seats and door cards can recover the steering wheel to match the rest of the...

Re: New member from South Croydon

Liking both the mx's and those lift ramps.

Do you simply drive over them before raising the car.

I bought a 3 in 1 lift but unfortunately its too high to simply slide under the mx. I have to run her up onto some home made 2" ramps first.

Re: upholstery recommendations.

All done by the company.

It was great seeing my wee mx sat beside a year old porshe and a spanking great lump of a Range Rover Vogue all being done by them with custom leather seats.

Re: upholstery recommendations.

Been a slight change of plan and style choice, Intentions were to visit Andrews crew but the logistics of getting the seats etc to him called for a change of plan. Following a recommendation ftom a TVR nut, Decided on these. 20180819_155445.jpg Oops sideways but you get the idea. New headrest speake...

Re: New headrest speakers how too.

Master Mazda Mender.

Any chance of those pickies. Just had the seats recovered in leather. I removed the old missmatch speakers and ordered a set of 4 4" jvc's that I hope to fit a hell of a lot tidier than the previous versions.
