Greetings and welcome to menders, this site was built for every owner that might need her to help keep those bills low and also keep them on the road where they belong, she is run by very passionate enthusiasts owners for passionate enthusiastic owners, see her like a on line garage, there is a lot of tech stuff hopefully explained for everyone to use, if there is something you cannot get your head around, or you feel that there is a strong walk through guide missing that needs creating by one of us or from yourselves, please let us know, we are also on false book and youtube, which as short tech vids to help, and again if you feel there is a vid that would help please get it touch.

Me too please! I've done a bit of a search and didn't see a 'howto'? So are you getting water in the boot? M-m Yes, was OK until last month or so. Now loads of water. Have pulled the bungs to let it drain out. Have ordered new rear light gaskets but not arrived yet. Need to look at the hardtop moun...

I also read somewhere that the 1.8 pulleys have a damper or something, which might have disintegrated. Any details on that, or where I can find them? I had a look in the Rod Grainger manual that I have, but couldn't find any info. hope the cat recovers! I reckon its not your main crank timing pulle...

Fixed my driver side central locking thingy yesterday by fitting the spare one that was in the glove box when I bought the car.

Useful tip - remember to reconnect the electric window plug too before refitting the doorcard etc! :laughing-rolling:

Well I had another look today. Couldn't see anything wrong. Took the plug leads out and put them back - connectors seem OK. Disconnected the coil pack and checked that again OK. Test drive - seems OK now, so must have been something not quite connected up or a dirty contact. Magic!
