Re: Well thats buggered that!

Cheers for the offer M-m but the problem is a bit more than that, more like the straw that broke the camels back. When checking over the after the accident I took a mechanic friend with me for a proper assessment and his review was a bit sobering. I was originally quoted around £1200 for the work bo...

Well thats buggered that!

Been a bit light on here again as the MX has been in the shop for some extensive work (sills, rear arches, boot around battery box etc etc) and was hoping to do a full reveal and write up. Guy I had doing it was keeping me informed of progress with pictures (and hitches such as the mahoosive hole in...

Re: What have you done to your MX5 today/yesterday?

Mirrors dismantled, cleaned and new bolts etc fitted. Prepped and sprayed the mirror base cover and the whole lot refitted. They adjust like silk now but noticed a small crack in the old base cover.

So looks like next weekend is a bit more spraying :)

Re: Mk1 wing mirrors

Well, partial success. 2 are loose but the other are still solid, I'll have another crack next week. The rounded one even resisted my trusted impact driver with a screw remover. Ps getting to the backs of the screws are a pain as there is a plate covering them so you have to bend the spray tube arou...
