started to change the rear shox for some Meister CRD and while there pulled the bushings out and put some superpro ones. need to get some adjustment bolts ( 2 have rounded off whashers)

it's been a while but wanted to give an update. so procured an original Mazda HRW loom for the hardtop, put the wires back as they looked like should be and this morning, as we had heavy icing, turned the engine on, HRW switch and blower on ... and voilà ! the ice is melting. so looks like the proble...

Well after having a couple wheels on top of the front edge of the softtop for a few days, in the sun ... Still nowhere near where it needs to go. Clamps are srewed all the way out ( unscrewed? ) Tried putting two wheels on top in bright warm sunlight, did use a hair drier but maybe not enough, patience is a vertue I need to keep working at :oops: Pushed so hard I actually snaped one of the pop rivets that holds the strap between bow #2 and #3...

woould anybody have anu suggestions as to how I can stretch a brand new soft top on my mk1 mx5? I followed all the instructions I could find including those given with the new top. It' just stays 1.5 inches away from beeing able to clamp it down to the windscreen frame. it's a prestige autotrim moha...

No clue whatsoever. Maybe some kind of a bodged job at connecting the hardtop demister with different switch?

can I put these wires back together?
So cleaning up some wiring I found in the boot. This is the rear defogger relai (?) and the small wires have been cut and some clear wire has been installed. one to a ground, there other went nowhere behind the aerial. So do you think I can just take the dominos of and put these wires back together ...

I've got a bad habit of over tightening the filter, last time i did mine i had to take off the manifold support bracket and knock a screwdriver thought the filter to turn it. when I did the oil filter it was on so tight ... I took the support bracket off and voila! I won't even think twice next tim...

Did mine just recently. New boots to go with it. The old oil was ... To say the least black. I read somewhere that you are supposed to put 90cc back in, think it reads here 85cc? Hello all, Just bought some stuff from autolink, was a good contact. So figured I could join here. New comer to the mx5 world but have been around cars for the last 50 years, dad had a garage. Not in the right order but I have had: 71 vw bug, 305 peugeot, 77 alfasud ti, 2x205 1.9 gti, mk1 golf gtd, ...
