Re: UK Mk1 1.6 1996 MX5 - MOT failed on CO emissions

Re: Replacement Bushes for Hillclimb / Sprint Car

I will recommend the IL rubber bushes, fit them, use them , forget them, poly is just to hard and brings on metal fatigue if not fitted and looked after right,

Re: UK Mk1 1.6 1996 MX5 - MOT failed on CO emissions

The one at the bottom...is it connected? As it looks like an aftermarket down pipe and its being used as a blanker.? I can see the one on the manifold (top one) which should be connected as that is the OE Mk1 1.6 single wire one

Re: Austins MK 1 Import REvamp thread.

Surely cutting off a chunk of the crank boss is going to cause further long term issues in that as an item that spins it will be way out of balance and induce a wobble that in turn puts stress on any supporting bearings and seals however small the effect is. It defo will not be going back on, it co...

Re: Austins MK 1 Import REvamp thread.

Every roadster i work on tells me a story as i take them apart and this is no exception to the rule....the last owners loved her but to a limit, and with Austin taking her on and trusting my hands.eyes and judgement as let me loose to sort her out for his good lady...... The engine strip down starts...

Re: ICE issues

Get a new unit, good ones can be bought off the bay of E now for £20,(which is no killer for even a yorkshire man LOL)as there is no moving parts, and to be honest it is rare that i bang a radio/HU on any way, i would rather listen to the engine and zorst, it just becomes back ground fuzz.
