I have a 91 imported Eunos Roadster, I was doing some cleaning in the boot and must have knocked a cable as I can no longer open the boot, the key turns. Iit it doesn't release and the internal release in centre console does nothing. Is there a simple way to release it a cable or behind the seats? ...

There is no risk of it falling off as the diff is bolted to the subframe , but the plates have seen better days.

No, import or uk? there was only the MK 2 1998- 2001 and the MK 2.5 from 2001 to 2005, there was never a 2.1 version, the 1.6 version never had an electric aerial bar some special editions on the UK spec versions.
It sounds like an aftermarket immobilizer?
