Re: cobra immobiliser

No, import or uk? there was only the MK 2 1998- 2001 and the MK 2.5 from 2001 to 2005, there was never a 2.1 version, the 1.6 version never had an electric aerial bar some special editions on the UK spec versions.
It sounds like an aftermarket immobilizer?

Re: Dip Dim?

Imports never had them, it was a regulation only for the UK and only for a couple of years, a very pointless system and was only on some later MK 1 mx-5's.
As for your issue it sounds like a crossed wire causing the issue.

Re: Possible Rear main seal Failure ?

With her being an auto we recommend bringing the engine and box out as one and then splitting it, the reason i say this is because whether you go leave the engine in situ and drop the box or leave the box in situ and pull the engine , you will have issues re aligning the torque convertor and gearbox...

Re: Possible Rear main seal Failure ?

Two of the images don't seem to have loaded , but it can be only seals really , if it's a thin oil then it's a dry rear crank seal , if it's thick then it's the gear box seal.
