Wax on Wax off

Having spent the last couple of days getting the dust off the Red un after the Silverstone Classic weekend, my efforts were all made worth while when the judges awarded 'Best in Show for the year 1980 - 2000' at Stafford Castle Classic Show. 20180804_172647.jpg 20180804_172610.jpg 20180805_162624.jpg

Re: Throttle body conversion - ITBs

£4500.00 from Skuzzle seams viciously expensive compared to the value of the car(well mine). For those of us who’d like a bit more but don’t want to turbo or supercharge is this reasonable. I know it’s not a fast car, I didn’t buy it for that. Virtually every car I’ve had in the past 20 years has h...

Re: Throttle body conversion - ITBs

Speedy, what do you think of the Skuzzle sport drive in package? It seems viciously expensive but reported gains of 40ish bhp with no turbo. Re: Hello!

The whole idea of adjusting the timing to 14 degrees was to compensate for the difference in fuel octane in the UK to Japan. On import if the engine was found to be 'pinking' a small tap sound on acceleration you would advance the timing to compensate for the fuel octane. Advancing to 14 degrees wit...

Re: Mk1 - How Long To Warm Up?

With the recent cold spell it will certainly take longer to reach optimum temperature as the air coming in is cooling the radiator more. Wait and see what it's like in a couple of weeks or so.

Re: Throttle body conversion - ITBs

I too did not want to alter the engine's reliability record by going turbo or charged. I looked at Twin carbs initially then found that throttle bodies was the modern way to go. I had a good bit of funds in the kitty from the sale of my concours Mk1 and my recently imported very fresh 89 Mk1 1.6 wit...
