When you say the belts do you mean the power steering and alternator belts?
Have you checked the cam belt ? Are the cams turning ?

Yes its whatever glue they use to bond the two sides of the bonnet together. Looking at the photo if that is original paint then everything is red which suggests its been like that from the factory. Is it just that one spot or is it all coming apart. I would not worry if it's just that one glue spot...

Ok then. If the power steering pipes are not leaking then dont panic. Power steering won't make a grinding noise tbh. but if the pipes are leaking and getting onto your exhaust then that could be the burning smell. More likely the burning smell can be coming from an oil leak from your CAS at the rea...

Symptoms- Cranks over and no spark. As we come off cranking we have a spark but can't quite catch it to run. Rev counter sits half way to a thousand, so just off the bottom pin with ignition on not running. We have Changed the CAS and no joy. Plugged in a megasquirt and can see rev signal and still ...
