Re: MK1 NA 1.6/1.8 89/97 CAS O'ring and rocker seal replacemnet

Made the mistake of thinking that i could do the CAS seal on its own by just pulling the CAS,... 2 months later it's leaking. When fitting it back (even with a dab of oil on tbe ring) the ring gets pinched just enough to start leaking.

This is the only way to do it right.

Thanks Wayne

No doubt, if you don't have a car where you always turn back and look at, you've got the wrong car.

I had adapters fit to my 92 and regassed with R314a, worked great till the aircon compressor poo'd itself (i had a bright green dye in my gas which showed where it happened). Will be replacing it soon.

Re: my first shot at an NA

Gave the 5 an oil change a few days ago (original mazda filter, mobil 1 long life a new sump plug washer and a good engine flush) only to find the aircon compressor has failed (the green stuff is the dye which was put in to find leaks). Will be contacting Autolink this week....

Re: Mk1 S-Special Resto Project

And the story begins.

At least you all know what you're doing with a roadster like that. I look forward to this resto as well as seeing this car in person soon. Meanwhile I'm off to fit another aircon compressor to my eunos

Re: 2010 Powershift sticking in park

Something is telling me that if the heat is a factor then we should be looking at a lubrication problem of the moving parts between selector and gearbox.
