Would i be right in guessing this is a MK2 hood on a MK1 car? The wet suit stuff is in a tube and is just a glue to stick your mohair patch on with.

Is it from where it folds at the side,and it as made an hole where it pinches when down, you will need a small of mohair to use as a patch, and i personally use the stuff that seal diving wet suites ,depending on how big it is i some times sow it with fishing line, to make sure it stays put ;)

I was told they spray truck wash all over the inside & aqua vac all the water out. That's why they mist up when people buy them If you meam TFR, no way Flea dude,it is caustic based and would kill the inside trim and electrics, but i still would not use them to sell or buy a car from, the mark ...

Yes the switch that disconnects the power supply when down was deleted after 99, because it was crap, has the hard top got a Mk 1 pig tail loom? would it not be easier to do a straight swap for a MK 2 one and £10?
