Re: Faults or normal? 1990 Eunos
Hi John, The MX-5 does have a firm ride but what you are describing does sound like the shocks may be a bit on the tired side. On one my cars I had a similar situation, in fact if you hit a bump mid-corner the rear end would skip around which was quite alarming. I replaced both rear shocks and the c...

Yes they are still available. Will need to get them out and weight them before I can get an estimate of shipping cost - will do that this weekend.

Re: What have you done to your MX5 today/yesterday?
Took the new Roadster up to Wayne's for a bit of help on working out why the driver's door would lock with the key but not unlock. After stripping it all down and getting the lock out we were able to identify where it was worn and work out a fix. So lock now works both ways which is great!

Thanks folks. Quite a poignant image as that is one of the last shots of the car before it's untimely demise.

Re: Breaking 1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster
Do you have the engine available? Hi Alan - yes I do. It is a 1.6 with 120k miles on it but it has been regularly and carefully serviced so I am confident it is in good condition. The only issue I am aware of is a slight oil leak from the front crank oil seal which would be easy to fix with the eng...

Re: Astonmazda the story so far
That looks very nice. I have been thinking about a different bumper for the Mk2 and I reckon you might have given me the solution. Would you mind posting up some details on where you got the bumper from? Are the lights Mk2 or Mk2.5 fitment? How difficult was it to fit - lots of fettling or pretty mu...

Re: Breaking 1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster
lol - indeed. Well I will be posting up some pics when I get a chance to start pulling things out of the car. In the end everything can be shipped, it's just a case of practicalities and cost of the courier.

Breaking 1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster
Hi folks - I am about to start stripping the remains of my BRG Eunos Roadster with black interior. Obviously the back end is a mess but otherwise everything else is up for grabs. The plan is to strip off everything that I can make a quick return on via eBay but I want to offer first option to the Me...

Re: Alignment Settings Mk2 Sticky Please?
This is a set of WIM fast road settings for the MX-5 - IIRC they came from someone on Nutz but they may equally have come from Wayne, I can't remember.

Re: New car - 1997 1.8 Eunos Roadster
The hood will be surplus to requirements as I have a Mohair hood on a Mk2 frame coming off the wrecked car. That will go onto the new car and I will flog the vinyl one on its frame. The car appears to be wired for HRW so it also makes sense as the other hood has a glass screen.

Re: New car - 1997 1.8 Eunos Roadster
Thanks Wayne. I will most likely just bypass and remove the window switch as I really cannot see the purpose of it. Regarding the oil pressure, I will definitely strip the necessary bits from the wrecked Mk1 to give me a properly working gauge.

New car - 1997 1.8 Eunos Roadster
Following the demise of our 1991 Eunos Roadster I have been on the lookout for a replacement. I wanted something fairly solid that I could transfer the modified parts from the old car over to, my preference being another import. After a couple of false starts I spotted this car come up on eBay yeste...

Re: Getting an MoT while on SORN
Well here are some pics but it's not quite of what I was hoping for. When I bought the car it has some minor rust on the sills, MoT advisory level but nothing too bad (or so I thought). Let's start with a picture of what the rust looked like at the beginning: http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b617...
