Re: Ride Height Standard MK1.

Evening Menders. Firstly, many thanks to Drumtochty Special thanks to Andrew at Autolink for exceptional service and speed of delivery. And of course Mr Mazdamender. Long story short, ended up going full stock mk1 on the rears with an emergency call and order to Andrew yesterday morning who quickly ...

Re: E10 Petrol: The Myths and The Facts So Far

I for one have no intention of going electric. F Pace, just out of warranty, range dropped to less than 100 mile's on a charge. Needs new batteries at over half the value of the car. Told the owner that cgargibgbefery night affects battery performance and life. So here I am, 32 year old MX5, 25 year...

Re: Ride Height Standard MK1.

Just had a measure up.
Front from centre of wheel to wheel arch 345mm
Rear from centre of wheel to wheel arch 330mm.

Hows that shaping up.

Re: Ride Height Standard MK1.

Quite simply, rear end feels soft and sloppy on corners and a bit bouncy on the bumps. So looking at either going full new stock mk1 suspension (shocks and springs) or a set of Meisters but aware that Meisters will lower her ever so slightly. So before I commit to either wanted to compare as she scr...

Ride Height Standard MK1.

Might be a stupid question and the answer might be staring me in the face.

Can any of the super boffins tell me of the standard ride height for a mk1 1.6.

From wherl centre to the wheel arch front and back.

I'll explain the reason for the question later.

Re: MX5 NB 1.8 vts sport cranks but won't start.

Our now departed 2003 1.8 sport had a remote key fob (plus a spare) for keyless entry and the alarm. Just wondering if it was an extra or standard on ours and if the 2004 would have the same. If its a standard fitting could it be an inobilser issue.

Re: bad misfire

That MX Tech diagnostic is a must have for all early 5s with OBD1. Saves so much messing about and good to do a test once in a while to make sure alls ok.

Keep it coming, like reading rebuilds and seeing how Menders attack problems along the way.

Just hope I never have to do the same to our little basic 1.6 1991 Eunos.

Before we get too deep into the sneaky how to, have you tried some good quality penetrating oil,.

Rear locks do have a tendancy to ingest road dirt.

Re: Mazda mx5 mk2.5 - 1.8 S-VT

As for being too low for your trolley Jack. I had the same issue with my standard trolley Jack's so bought two low entry ones. They slide under easily now.

As Wayne says looks like your just in time to save yourself some serious body correction work.
