Right there is some proper crap on the web, all about these so called all singing all dancing aftermarket rubber door bump stops....
The claims are....
1) They stiffen the roadster up :laughing-rolling: :doh:
2) They are great for making less noise...

I have been getting a lot of contacts of late about the MK 2.5 centre arm rest cubby holes (Ash try and cup holders) staying up and not staying down, it is a common fault just like the MK 2's arm rest hinge being made from cheese also.

So here is a quick fix for MK 2.5 owners for good.....

Rather than replacing the whole centre console when the hinge breaks it can be replaced with a section of piano hinge.
For the purposes of the pictures I've left it in chrome so it can be seen easier. I will paint it black later.

They are known to split along this join as shown in the picture....
