Replacing suspension/damper bottom bushes Mk1> Mk.2.5

Postby Mazda Mender » Sat Oct 04, 2014 2:53 pm

In this how to we will be replacing them on MK 1 bilstein dampers.

The bilstein suspension like the OE dampers are very hard wearing and last for many many years, the main thing that goes wrong is with the bottom bushes squash out of the damper housing and deform because of the angle and squeak giving you notice that something is wrong.
Most owners remove and bin them and just fit new or s/hand sets, well there is no need to and with some basic tools the bushes can be replaced making the dampers good for many years to come.
Autolink sell the new poly bushes for the bilstiens and for the standard MK 1 sets, you are looking at around £13 a bush +VAT, they also sell the sets for the MK 2/2.5 which are replaced in the same way, and we will show you how to.....

So if they look like this.......
