New Member, 1.6 Eunos in for a whole lot of work!

Postby Natehd9 » Mon Jan 13, 2020 5:53 pm

Afternoon all,

I've owned my Eunos since May of last year (bought it as a promotion & graduation present for myself) my (at the time) fiance (now wife) asked if we could use it as our wedding car as I had a red NA when we first started dating, but it was in no fit state... when I purchased it was sat on a set of cheap nasty ebay coilovers (with seized adjusting rings, surprise, surprise) and a set of Jeep style ebay headlights. The paint was tired, there were a number of dings and dents, the interior was a little bit rough around the edges (door card hardboard crumbling and held on with duct tape), however there seemed to be next to no rust on the sills and arches.

On the plus side it came fitted with a set of Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2's (ditchfinder tyres though), a hardtop (fairly tatty and spoiler fitted in a real slapdash fashion) and apparently a Torsen diff (yet to be confirmed, doesn't have the usual tell tale ear styles!

I'm now well underway with what wasn't intended to be, but has definitely turned out to be, a nut and bolt renovation. The plan is to slap a TD04 and supporting mods on it. (I know, I know, BORING!) This is the short term (think 2 - 3 years) plan, with a longer term plan to go K series, I came from Hondas and what's better than VTEC YOs in a RWD?

Anyway, that's my intro, I'll be digging around on here using the wealth of knowledge, along with the Nutz forum, Miata Turbo, various FB groups, yada yada.

I know a thread is rubbish without photos, I don't have any at the moment (work), but will upload some soon, promise!

Photos from when I bought it and got it to my wife's parents (temporary storage!)

For some reason my photos are upside down, anyone know how to fix this?
