Good morning all, just thought I'd pop in and say hello. My name is Jim and maybe one of the oldest on here (71), but nonetheless enthusiastic MX-5 owner. I am just bought my 4th 5, a MK3 Launch Edition with BBR upgrade, BC coilovers & a few other little mods. I have previously owned a MK2 about 13 years ago, a MK1 Harvard and another MK3 LE, so I thought it was about time I got another one before I get too old to get in the damn thing.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wayne last weekend and he gave the car a quick look over & gave it the thumbs up (or that's what I thought anyway!). He is going to be giving it a full cavity wax, underseal etc. in the near future I hope so I can preserve it's current excellent condition. Age and health issues sadly mean I can't do a lot of work myself other than keeping it nice & shiny but I trust Wayne can look after any issues that may arise as I'm only 20 minutes down the road from him.

Here is a picture to be going on with.

Welcome to the menders Vindaloo. You're lucky you're so close to Mm HQ, your car will always be in safe hands. The fact that you've owned a few 5s already tells me that you'd have some great stories (& pics) to share.
1. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, 2. Resale wont save your life in an accident, 3. Genius has limits, stupidity has none, 4. Never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level & beat you with experience, 5. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young!
