Some history of the car so far , FSH until about 4 years ago , now I do the essential , ie oil etc my self
Failures / faults
Juddering clutch replaced under warrantee ( known fault )
Then as the car aged :-
Both front callipers , slider bolts seized
Lambda sensor by cat
Rear road spring snapped near base
Dog bone link snapped
Hood replaced about 2 years ago
Alarm switch drivers door intermittent ( causing alarm to sound when unlocking) according to Mazda the switch does not exist , good old Autolink , and a second hand one .
Both front ABS sensors ( 1 by indi Mazda fixer , 1 DIY ).
Front fogs , silvering disintegrated , replacement , Ebay clones at a fraction of Mazda price .
And finally both cills extensive surface rust , but no holes , replaced by Mazda dealer , for silly money after a mistake on the estimate , they quoted to replace “Cills” £160 +vat , when it came to settle up they had meant per cill , but nevertheless honoured, the estimate .
And as I said before , the double din OEM radio is now replaced with a single din Kenwood DAB and a cubby box
Not bad for a 16 year old car ,in fact its birthday is in a couple of weeks
