Hi I am pritty new to the mx5 I have a 1.6 nb I love driving it but it's just died it now needs a spark plug helicoil and nobody seem to want to come out and do it and the head bolts don't want to come out for me to do it

Seems a good question, and like you would like to know the outcome.
Never had to hellicoil a spark plug hole, so interested in the result.

I've helicoiled plug holes before a while ago now a friends 626, but the head had to be stripped off to do it back in the good old days of decoking we just cleaned the top end up afterwards and the helicoils held well.
