Grass verges

Postby pollyanna » Mon Mar 17, 2014 8:11 pm

The road I live on is a short dead end road with only half a dozen homes, it'e more a hamlet than a village. The road is wide enough for the weekly refuse vehicles to get down the road as long as there are no cars parked on the narrow grass verges but, we have one pig headed shilling short of a pound family that will park outside there home even when they have plenty of room to park off road or in their stack yard further down the road. During the wet weather the road gets clarted up with mud and soil etc as vehicles large and small have to drive over the grass verges opposite to get passed the vehicle parked by the said family. All this being said, last wednesday there had been a parked vehicle outside this house all Tuesday night and was still there on Wedbnesday morning. The refuse collction vehicle couldn't get passed this parked van so they had to drag the wheelie bins up the road to get emptied and then take them back again. Next thing that happened was, that everyone gets a letter from some prat in the local council stating that if it happened again we would all have to take the loaded bins to the end of our road that is a cross roads to another road with fast traffic on it to get them emptied. So this ffff ing civil servant decides to punish the whole of the residents because of one prat in the village rather than doing something about this particular family.

Get the rest of the residents to explain that if they bugger it up for everyone else you will all use their driveway as a dumping ground for all your rubbish.

We think we have sorted it out now. We had our annual parish council meeting a couple of weeks ago and the mother of the idiot who was damaging the verges made him come to the meeting as she said to us aftr the meeting that she wasn't going to to take all the flack over the problem he was causing. These two evidently had had a blazing row before they came and he looked as tho' he was about to burst a blood vessel he was so red in the face. Anyway the chairmen, with my backing, got this idiot to agree not to park his vehicls on the road, ad upto now he hasn't. By the way he is 45 and his mother is 79.
