Adrian Flux Renewal

Postby stevehh » Thu May 07, 2015 10:52 am

I moved insurers to Adrian Flux last year, the Mazdamenders offer was attractive, and their price and insurance policy were good.
This years renewal arrived, and the cost had gone up. I looked around and found insurance with another specialist insurer cheaper.
I went back to Adrian flux, via Dan, and they have re-quoted with a lower cost.

I'm a happy customer, and I'll be renewing with Adrian Flux.

I did exactly the same at renewal last year, hope they match the lower quote this year.

Hi,
I'm sorry we were unable to retain your business this year. Please feel free to try us next year though if you like.

Hi mk1divemaster. Did you make a claim during the previous year? Where did you go to after Flux? A lot of insurance companies don't want to know imports.

I got my renewal through from AF for our 91 1.6 Eunos, 5000 miles FComp & PNC.

The fee was reasonable but I find the £35.00 Policy Issue Fee a bit OTT.

However as the renewal was for under £130.00 and I am just too busy this year to do some ringing around I renewed it with them. But consider this, if you take off the £35.00 and the actual cost of the insurance is under £100.00.
One main point of complaint is the policy issue fee of £35.00.

This was explained as the charge they make to ensure we get the service we need and to keep them in business, well I assume that they also get a small kick back for every policy they issue from the main underwriter.

Oh and another thing, I was given a so called 0800 Freephone number to ring back on as I don't have automatic renewal, this number did not work so the call to renew the policy had me on hold listening to a load of sales crap that I had no interest in for about four minutes at 6p per minute, the call to renew took about eight minutes so about 50p in total to AF on top of the £35.00.

I hear that the powers that be are looking into such charges as being the main reason for policy hikes, about time too.

Just an observation and comment for the attention of AF.

Hi,
Thanks for the comments. I will certainly pass them on to my bosses.
Can I check what 0800 number you were given so I can check that out in the meantime?
Regards,
Dan.
