Being a Mender (or what you have done for another MX5 owner)

Postby The Captain » Mon Oct 22, 2012 2:43 pm

Helped a mate out on Saturday by doing some bits on his MK2 Sport (same as mine and Rising Suns) and as there isn't a thread thought I would start a new one.

This is what I did, while he :coffee:

Oil and filter change
Plugs and leads changed
Gearbox oil changed
Gear lever gaiters and oil changed
Old wood kit removed and new one fitted
Handbrake adjusted
Tyres properly inflated - jeez I went nuts when I found that 1 tyre was 14 and the others were all 36
Hardtop mopped
Mopped the headlights (he thought they were scummy on the inside)

I was going to suggest that you steered clear of this one mate.

I did put a MazdaMender sticker under his bonnet though.

Ive never sat in a Mk3 before but yeh, 20 seconds plus Google gave me the answer to give him.

A bit of team drain hole unblocking for some new owners yesterday at the pub meet. They've got a nice little MK1 and as they are local we suggested they let Garath give it the once over and service it too.

Also unblocked the drain holes for Andy and his very low, soon to be tracked MK1
