Well, the council have started to liberally spread rock salt all over the roads even before the snow arrived this weekend so have today put the MX on SORN.

Got to pop her onto blocks and disconnect the battery, lube up all the runners, then tuck her up under the car cover till next spring.

Thanks to Wayne's super service, I am confident she will sleep well and wake up all ready to go, subject to an oil and fuel filter change.

Anyone else doing the same or are you all hardy soles and use these mighty motors all year round. I know Wayne does.

1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

All mine live outside...and take what's given, the used ones are protected, the builds are under covers with battery isolation clamps when not used , they will get started up regular and moved around, all are fully serviced, all have good fresh 5 year coolant in, not so fussed about handbrake off as all the systems are over well maintained with lube and the correct greases where it should be for lubrication and protection, all are wearing hard tops under the covers and moisture traps in all that are resting through the winter months.
My MK1 I am using will be taken off the road in spring for a good overall with everything ready for summer use and fun, my MK2 will be on the road in summer as a daily again looking and feeling better than she was to.
The little red mk 1 roadster goes in for paint in December so she will be finished before spring and up for grabs( watch the build thread).
The Blue VS MK2 will also being attack next year on getting her closer to finished as the show car and tribute to my Dad.
Daryls Mk 1 will be going into the paint shop also early next year ,which we are looking forward to with the mazdaspeed rims being painted as we speak ready.
Still on the look out for the next project I need to get out of my system to build, I am sure she will find me.
Also on the look out for a white MK1 to build for the young lady early 1.6 or later 1.8 must be an import, this is due to the one I have built for her ( the little red roadster) now not her colour, so some is going to get a nice red roadster when finished through Goodwood sports cars now.
Winter will slow things down ,but not stop the spanners coming out iam sure but will be wrapped up look like the michelin man to hold the old back.
