Forum Idea/Suggestion

Postby Incalcitrant » Sun Sep 21, 2014 12:32 pm

Hi all,

Firstly this is a suggestion made in good faith, I really like this forum and it's certainly refreshing not to find a forum full of mindless nonsense or full or "loud" but clueless contributors!

One thing I can't fathom with this forum though is just the sheer number of sections,

But this is a touch overwhelming!

I may be the only person (feel free to say) but maybe if the forum boards were condensed a bit it may be easier to navigate and much more obvious where stuff goes?

Cheers,
Andy

I think it is all down to how you use the board and for what reasons, she is bassed on a online garage/workshop etc, and that is where her heart will always be no matter what, but that by no means that she cannot change a litlle to suit, she was built to help fellow owners with correct advice and info with no bull sh*t ....ever, and wrong info will be deleted and removed off the board.
I personally just look for the red indication of new posts or threads or use the short cuts in the top corner of new posts, unread posts etc, but we put as much into place to help and suit users like the different coulor scheme boards to pick from we are always open to ideas ,so i personally will not take anything the wrong way, the Light blue headers are for the different sections/doors, thing of it as a building, the new front page will gel in with way the board runs in a open plan blue print kind of thing, which will be a click on thing and straight to that section/room.
She is ongoing and always will be, but remember one thing she as been built for fellow owners and will be nothing with out you in helping you or you putting on info too, we can only do so much and we do have light bulbs go on over our heads to move forward or for making things easier to help, we planted the seed, but it is up to you lot to feed and water her, she will only be as good as the owners that need us and use us and get involved.
So please keep it coming :handgestures-thumbup: :coffee:

If you press the home button, top left, twice it takes you to a reduced menu that is much easier to follow. Definitely my favourite site. Enjoy.
