Lazza wrote:Ah! Just worked it out! It's not just holes drilled in the pliers, you are remounting the pivot! That makes sense but I have to say, the pictures & text don't describe that at all. It reads and looks like you just take the pliers, drill holes in them and that somehow, magically extends the reach!
It's only a detail & with a bit of luck they would have the right pliers. I know i'll be keeping an eye out for some

Well, I tracked down red rubber grease from yet another of my friendly local motor shops (lots of them round here, although two of them had no idea what I was on about  ) and a small bottle of dot 4. Get myself a breaker bar tomorrow and I'll be ready for to start Monday morning.

Thanks, M-m! I think what I will do is approach tomorrow as a learning exercise, and then knuckle down and do them all.

I will also need a brake hose clamp, come to think of it. And lacking an air hose, I have been doing a little reading up on how to get out the piston without one. Will report back on success or otherwise in that area to help any others who have a similar equipment shortfall!

:-D WAYHEY!!!

That worked a treat. Followed M-m jnr's guide for getting the thing off the car, and then this guide for all that followed.

Flea - :bow-yellow: Mate, this guide was invaluable. I am not an old hand at this stuff, so this was just what I needed!
