Help and advice needed please
Going to do rear main oil seal and I have heard its possible to do the rear sump half moon seal at the same time by using clamps On the oil seal housing lugs to compress the half moon seal enough to locate the housing. Has anybody tried this and what results.

If it is the rear crank seal that is just leaking/weeping which is very common, then seriously ...just replace that , the sump seal is very uncommon to leak/weep unless it as been disturbed in some way? and is a nice big job to replace, and it needs to be done 100% correct otherwise you will end up with a oil leak which is the case of them leaking in the first place , ill fitted incorrect or had a whack.
Personally ...leave the sump seal if it is not leaking.
