Alloy wheel query

Postby Draig » Thu Feb 23, 2012 7:07 pm

Hey again all

I've been looking around for original wheels for my SE as it currently has a set of 15" TSW's, very nice but i am looking to turn this back to standard (i'm even on the lookout for the ABS and SE badges for the back, sad i know :ugeek: ).

the originals were 7 spoke 6.5J x 15 and should apparently have 215/45/15 tyres on them (got the original brochure with the car). But wouldn't that be an 8 inch tyre on a 6.5 inch rim? or have i lost the plot?

cheers

My OE 7J's can go up to a 215/45/15 according to the handbook, which like you say is 8+ width on a 6.5-7 wheel.
