Wheels question

Postby Joe54 » Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:20 pm

I've just done a site search but I'm no wiser.

I have a question about alloy wheels chaps, and in particular what size and type fits where.

The car I'm buying is a 2002 1.8 base model and is still wearing the factory wheels it came with, but being new to Mx5's I've no idea what size these are?
I'd like to upgrade them at some point to a set like those in the pic below. (sorry I don't know the name for them) My question is what size are my stock wheels? And what size and type are the ones in the photo? And if they aren't the same size would changing them affect ride comfort or speedo accuracy?

Standard Mk2.5 will have 15" wheels with 195/50/15 tyres.
Those look like Arctic special edition wheels, not sure if they are also 15" or 16" but either way they will fit without a problem as the overall diameter of the tyres will be the same (near enough).
