Air-con delete

Postby Rob » Sun Oct 07, 2012 7:24 pm

I need to change both my belts now I am considering taking out the air-con at some point in the near future but the belt change needs to happen this week.
Now my old eyes not being so good these days, I was unable to ascertain if I could simply put on the shorter belt (to run the Power steering only) without it interfering with the air-con pump if so than I can just get the belts need post air-con removal and be done with it.

Just take it out, go for it, it is not that hard to do, and then you can fit the shorter belt ,job done.

Yes but my concern is the gas in it, I wont be taking it out if there is still gas in the system as that would mean either paying someone to remove the gas (cannot afford it) or releasing it into the atmosphere (not willing to do this as its just not right never mind illegal)

Have a look in the glass window to see if there is any in there? at the front on the left as you look in from the front at the slam panel, if ther is none? take it out.

Hey guys, can anyone help me with my eunos presso? She's has the 1.5b5 and I'm a little lost as to which belt length I'm in need of, plus a shed load of other information I would love to know, I'm in the process of collecting all the parts for a turbo conversion and if anyone is familiar with the engine there knowledge would be greatly appreciated lol

Bringing this post up again I just did the air con delete, new belts etc... I've joined the 2 wires up behind the glove box. But when u press the air con button the air con fan doesn't kick in.. the a/c light does come on... how do I check if it's the problem with the fan or relay related thanks
