What camera do you use Flea?

I used my Canon EF100-400 for the MX5 pics but have also used a variety of kit, manual focus, Bridge and even a compact (just to see if I could do it).

A lot these days depends on how close you can get but technique is more important than the kit.

Not sure if I will go down for the Sunseeker as I think my club are running the service area so not that much opportunity for action stuff.

We do have a meeting in May that might be of interest. We are holding a two day sprint on 26th-27th at Crystal Palace, the oldest racing circuit in the Country.

Lots more but Tracey's was the only MX5. She still competes with the MK 1 but has traded in the Arctic for an Elise. Mind you I still prefer her other car an E-type :)

And if that wasn't enough her other half also sprints an Elise and has a modified Frog Eye, and an Ultima amongst other things (jealous moi-yep :D )

Should be more at our next event there, which is an Autosolo.

And here is another pic

First thing to do is to find a local motor club that runs Autotests. I would stick to Grass rather than Tarmac tests as they are a lot kinder to the car (and tyres!)

Have a look here to find a club:-
http://www.gomotorsport.net/en-GB/default.html

It will cost you the price of club membership and the entry fee-I pay £15-£20 for club subscription and £5-£12 per event entry.

You would be welcome to attend one of our (Sevenoaks Motor Club) events but Brands Hatch is a bit of a trip, and I would imagine there must be something a bit closer.

If you want to know any more please ask

Just found this thread and its as good a place as any.

This is me back in 2001 at harewood hilclimb. Oh those were the days.

Image

Here is a link to Harewood Hillclimb history. Didnt know this site existed until today. :handgestures-thumbup:

Edit. The ex sister in law ran this beauty and I later bought it. Very sadly now sold on.

And finally my Brothers Caterham. Running a 1.6 vauxhall tigra engine on throttle bodies, a full race engine with 225 bhp and 10,000 rpm redline. He won 13 out of 15 races in its 1st year. A propper weapon !!
