I know... won't bloody fit anywhere else  and it has to be visible for the scrutes & marshalls

edit - is only the 2.25 though so not too bad. I'll just get a haircut before a meeting to compensate :laughing-rolling:

I guess the passenger foot well is a no go for the extinguisher then. My old racer had the battery in passenger foot well too.

Yes mate. She has to be for the SR's. Plus it's much easier to bed & settle on a road legal(!) car :handgestures-thumbup:

The spec wouldn't be so tame if there were no emissions/noise/silly rules

A few developments over the weekend, not as much as planned due to a small-block (cobra) with knocked bearings coming in. But still, stuff happened!! -

this is the final build after FIVE!!! dry builds

finally cleaned crank

loose as we dare (.0035")

lovely Wossners

proper kit (thanks to http://kingracebearings.com/ and Ultimate Race Cars)

the bottom end is scheduled to be finished today/tomorrow with the head to follow. The grinders should(!!) have my shims back by friday to complete the top end, with the raychem wire that's been on backorder due same time for the harness build on saturday (patchy electrician permitting  ) should then be able to spin it up on the dyno for a couple of hours when a slot becomes free, and on a single bank of injectors to bed in the rings & valvegear. The plan is to map fully in the car on the rollers , with final adjustments on track :auto-layrubber:

Oh yeah, forgot something - reground cams are back from Kent now (custom Cat cams, refined by their competitors  ) :handgestures-thumbup:

Lets just say that there's significantly 'more than before'; duration nicely over 300° on both and leave that there.... :bow-yellow:
