So, I have spent time and money getting the cat back to as close as possible to original Gleneagles, but my windblocker does not fit if I put on the Cockpit bracing strut. The windblocker I think is from a Mk2 and has speakers in it. Does anyone know of a windblocker that works with the the strut brace and the extra long Gleneagles tonneau.

Merry Christmas

Because of the cab brace the only one i would go for is the type that attaches to the headrests of the seats with a clear window in the middle from seat to seat, you cauld fit a mesh type which work but you would not be able to drop it, maybe fettle one a bit so it just clicks into place?

I am looking to colour the air filter shield (homemade). Given that I will be replacing the Inlet manifold with a blue one soon, any recommendations for the air shield. My thoughts are
1.) silver / Chrome
2.) Blue
3.) White
But would there be too much Blue.

Thoughts / comments

In addition we changed the clutch slave cylinder as it was leaking and changed the diff oil, also did the 14degree timing mod, gave up at 8:00pm having started at 10:30am.

I never got to drive it as my son came along at 6:00pm did a bit of work and as now taken the car for the weekend.

A couple of problems arose with supplied parts, but nothing that stopped play. One area of concern is how close the heater pipe is to number 4 exhaust pipe.
We found that the back box was falling apart and the cat was full of loose bits, so that looks like the next job to fix.

Anyway, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Nothing wrong with it. It doesn't make much of a difference but it's free and reversible so worth a go.

Yeah but over the many moons of interweb crap it is now told as a mod for more power and that is rubbish, do you know why this was really being done to a very few on import here when time began and for what so called reason?.........

My son arranged that. I didn't realise until it was done. however, having said that he is very pleased with the overall result, but I think most of it come from the exhaust especially removing a rattling rear box. Keeps him happy. Does sound good though
(I haven't had chance to drive it yet)

On a slightly different note, I mentioned that the heater hose is very close to the exhaust manifold following the new manifold fitted. Can I bend the metal heater bypass pipe or will it be likely to crack ?
