I used some faux suede but if I'm honest I could do with a thicker fabric.

It looks good and a very clean finish. Did you reattached the top pads to the main area of the door card? Most of the tabs in mine were broked so it is just placed on for now until I figure something out.

Luckily, all tabs except 2 were there. Will recreate the missing ones with some epoxy or something some day.

For now I've got to find time to source a leak in my coolant somewhere. Just a few drips but enough to drive me mental. Weird part is it's from way back in the engine bay. Will need to remove the sheilds and check my hose clips first as the hoses sometimes want to be double clamped,.... go figure.

Turned out to be a heater hose weeping as the clamp was not done up correctly. Also painted the "feet" of my strut brace and removed my radiator expansion bottle and gave it a thorough cleaning as it was brown!

This is not engine dressing, this was purely maintenance (or soni keep telling myself)

So clean you can see plain water in it (this was just a test, mixed mazda concentrate after)

Gave the 5 an oil change a few days ago (original mazda filter, mobil 1 long life a new sump plug washer and a good engine flush) only to find the aircon compressor has failed (the green stuff is the dye which was put in to find leaks). Will be contacting Autolink this week....

So, since my last update, i damaged the front bumper (thanks to French tarmac) and have been through 4 aircon compressors (costs me Ā£100 in labour and materials each time to fit them).

9m l find out if the newly rebuilt unit is any good.

Newly refurbished compressor worked its magic so well that my condensor failed (weakest link in the chain). Have been looking for a NEW condensor & dryer since the last 3 months but to no avail (except for the one in Switzerland mybfriend found for over Ā£1000 and a bunch of 94+ ones which will require modifications to MAYBE fit)

If anyone has a new condensor at a reasonable price, cash waiting.

Have since also swapped out radiator as my non original (some JDM upgrade done by a previous owner) high capacity metal one finally failed (pics soon). It's all coming along and the car is just getting more and more fun.

A HUGE thank you to Andrew at Autolink for always hooking me up with much needed parts.

Bosch FR78X Super4 plugs were swapped in today. HUGE Difference. The car feels like it had a boost in torque above 2000rpm. The previous plugs seemed a bit over-gapped but were otherwise quite clean. May give them a quick brush, regap them and keep them as spares.
