Carpet scrubbed and made all smelly nice ready to be fitted into her with the MK 2 dash.....( note health and safety precautions were out , coned the area off )

It took a good couple of hours to jet wash the soap out of it, biggest issue is drying it off at this time of year

All dry a and sound proofing back on already to fit....

So started on Ashliegh's roadster, at some point the boot area was getting damp which looks like the c*ck that fitted the roof and damaged the rain rail, they had painted the boot with what looks like red lead?? any way all the battery securing brackets 10mm head bolts had snapped and needed drilling out first and making good to refit a Panasonic battery , de-rust and make good the whole boot area, added new sound proofing, resprayed the spare wheel,clean and spray the jack handle,fuel filler guard, found a spare wheel tray, tool bag,and jack, tided wiring up, fitted a flashing brake light mod and refitted everything, nice and clean and sorted, just waiting to find a Panasonic battery tray...

Great to have many good backs to help, so thanks to Ashleigh, Daryl, Matt,and Angela for helping with the lifting and taking directions...
So on to the interior....Mk 1 dash out, Mk 1 carpet out, clean ,paint, new heater trunking seals everything cleaned and lubed, new carpet in new dash in, new upper and lower gearshaft boots..

Started on some of the conversion wiring and adding all the other bits ready, plus a twin exit zort for her..

Also got the rear heated window loom ready and added a Mk 2/2.5 socket also so then it makes no difference which hard top is fitted...

Panisonic OE battery tray arrived yesterday with thanks from Mr Daniel Fry,so all fitted and everything bolted down nice and tight..

Found the passenger side foot well with some water in it and the boot,,so removal of the seat and carpet up with Daryl on the drivers side and a good hose down we found all places to be sorted, The boot was the two rear light cluster seals and the front was where the speaker is fitted to the inner door skin....

New HU in and all gauges just need to feed the temp sensor wire into the engine bay.. electric window switch wired in... interior is almost done bar the door cards and rear speakers..i also need a mk2 foot rest..onto the engine next...

Ok next is the refurb of the brakes, i'll be holding back on new discs until MOT time while she sits around having everything done....
Fronts are done, rears tonight, new hoses rad,fan service,oil,coolant,water pump cam belt seals etc etc over the weekend which i'll be useing as a guide for here for others to use.
Suspension after that ,going for MK 2 units because it is being built for my daughter and fit all new boots to the TRE ,upper and lower ball joints, underseal, cavity wax,finish the low pro head lights i'm making and fit then onto cosmetics, spray rims,which should just leave final touches ,alignment and MOT, but hay best lied plans and all that...

Water pump, belts and seal all done, fresh coolant hoses, new rad....

I am useing the pump change etc for a full walk through guide of this, so keep an eye out..
