Darrel and Vicky are the owners that knew of her and after many years of trying to get her, finely got offered her after 9 years of sitting in her army camouflage.
The lady that owned her ...owned 2 ,and for some reason they ended up getting parked up on the drive and never used again, the lady sadly passed away and the family offered the now grim looking mazda to the pair of them but now as a none runner, which they bought, in around November of 2018....
Darryls comment....
"Previous owner was a regular customer in my Wife's shop. She had 2 Mx5's she used regularly but in about 2008 she was no longer fit to use them and they where pulled onto her drive and never used again. We repeatedly offered to purchase them off her but she always said 'one day I will be able to use them again'. Last year sadly she passed away, her family came into the shop and offered us the chance to buy the last remaining car. So we did, we had to cut down overgrown shrubs to be able to get her off the drive but now she is ours".

So they got her towed home and began the bit of a clean in and out and started the process of trying to get to the bottom of the none start issue, thats where i personally came in after Darryl contacted through the FB side on menders, so back and forth with messages and the odd phone call until we got her collected and dropped here at Wayne mansion, to resolve the none start issue and a service, it was clear from reversing her off the low loader she needed a lot more than a quick start and service...
Body is solid , no rust, bar some surface rust underneath from being stood on soil in shrubs for that amount of time, brakes want binning, there is still signs underneath of the growth she was in, so that will all need sorting ,protecting ,undersealing and box sections injecting with cavity wax, engine by needs a major Jizza clean, water pump and cam etc will need doing as she is nearly 20 years young and been stood for nearly 10 of those,tryes are shot, and need to check everything, hoses, pipes, boots, bushes etc etc.
So now Darrly understands what i was getting at that she needs this work, regardless whether i do it or someone else, he agreed that the investment does need putting into her as she sits with only 15,100 mile on here, so is well worth the effort and spend to bring her back to where she should be...
