Fresh coolant added and bled, finally got to the bottom of why she was not cooling correct which helped after replacing and sorting everything, joined the A/C fan to the cooling fan for dual cooling, and fed the front OE spot lamp loom at the same time, need a MK 2 cooling fan to do a conversion..sorted the driver's door lock and that the aftermarket worm drive regulated is deader than dead so will need replacing...new membrane added and black goo seal, there was not much left of the old one,new speakers to the seats, door card crash pads added to replace the badly recovers red ones, added a pair of tear drop JDM speaker covers...replaced the upper and lower gearshift boots/seals...removed the badly fitted immobilizer and what was left of the alarm system , just need to solder everything back up to standard and sort heater trunking seals,finish service ,add HU and aux gauges, then brakes.

wiring all made good , rear fog lamp switch fitted, electronic mirror switch etc in place ready.HU in and extra gauges ready to connect up...

So, drivers side window mech was duff, so replaced it with a cable driven aftermarket unit( intrigue got the better of me with the old one,so took it all completely apart and got it working again anyway, the spring had rotted on one of the brushes so was not making contact with the com), removed the AC blower seal brackets as the foam seal had deteriorated and needed replacing badly , ,stripped ,clean and sprayed, fresh foam fitted ready to be re-installed, both weather strips replaced, number plate cover fitted, ,rear fog light relocated to the drivers rear cluster, reversing light strip fitted that does work as a light for reversing with and while i was in there new number plate bulbs ,nose cone brackets made up and fitted as the were broken with the clips also for the air guide and bolts, new nose cone support rods fitted, snapped studs and bolts all drilled out so i could fit a under tray, new aftermarket gauges installed just need to wire in.
Swapped the cooling fan for a MK 2 motor, fitted new seal between the top of the rad and body slam panel.
Service is now complete, plenty of our mans nuts an bolts swapped out while doing the fuel filter that not right, including all the drop link nuts and bolts yet to do, looks ok'ish under there, but we will need to undo all the "rear sills have been done" by a blind man that likes filler by bodge it,dodge it and run,on both side which they have not kept the drainage holes, so it all needs to be cut off and re-done correct, brakes next.
Few other places were magic hands as been that needs re-sorting, list heading to andrew again

Had to replace the chrome back deck plates from the aftermarket bolt that was fitted which had damaged the chrome coat grrrr, also fitted the aftermarket gauges, just need to connect to the water temp sensor in the bay...

Under bonnet lights fitted, boot lights fitted, jack and OE tools in tool bag all stripped and painted, petrol hose shield stripped and painted and Jack brace,spare wheel and holding disc painted,boot brake light wires sorted after finding a number of repairs from the past, rear fog lamp wiring extended and connected up nice and safe, new carpet hard board support added much thicker and larger over the jack's bed,battery area fully sorted with fresh white paint, drilled out broken studs and added all brackets and clamps,bottom tray,negative battery post cut out switch and Panasonic battery, lion battery to go and the crappy TX thing,front mud guards all painted ready to fit also.

Front mud guards fitted ,A/C trunking seals in place,old shoddy roof , knackered rain rail and frame removed, and all prepped ready for the new roof and frame...with major clean and sort out also de-rusting and painting the shields a roof brackets and fitting a MK 2.5 rain rail etc and all missing items...it was well over needed...

All the drop link nuts and bolts are wrong so will need replacing and the steering rack boot is dead on the drivers side, MOT until next march hey????

Drilled the reflectors to take a 501 socket and wired them in as indicators, wired in a lights left on alarm and a boot brake light flashing light modular , spruced up the gear knob, ,little lady does not want the off set number plate set up so a UK one as gone back on, the boot rear wing is also not to her taste so a OE spoiler is under grabs as we speak....

Drop links,brakes(for the time being) ,steering rack boots,MK2.5 rag top removed from my Mk1 and fitted to 16 with a 2.5 rain rail and side clamp brackets...old rear heat shield removed and new one made....trim panels cut and side strikers fitted for H/T passenger rear spat fitted correct, washer jets fitted, wind deflector fitted, some creature comforts fitted,...and rear boot spoiler prep,rear fog light removed from bumper and rear spoiler pre fitted, bumper repaired at outlet, looks like at some point a large outlet was fitted and incorrect which had deformed the curve slightly...I would of gotten further on but the rain had other ideas....

Rear spats painted black (Requested and fronts to do) , rear bumper cut to take a twin zorst out let and the S/S twin zorst out let fitted, rear bumper lip painted and fitted...

Front spats painted and fitted as per the ladies choice...
Remote Central Locking started, modular fitted to the passenger side door and cable threading in from the cab, also ran a patch cable ready to connect up the electric mirrors when fitted, cleaned,greased ,the inner workings of the door and reset the wind mech...

New front badge fitted, plastic plate made up and rear spoiler painted black, front fog light brackets made up ,fitted and connected all up ,fogs and ring, RCL all connected ,adjusted and working, front jap number plate holder found and fitted,better front headlights fitted, found the passenger side headlight socket had melted ,so a new one installed,Style bar and wind blocker fitted,Hard top spoiler fitted,flash to pass sorted, ( new relay),.
Chasing a cooling issue still, sniffer test done and all good, compression all good 1-190, 2 - 190, 3 - 185, 4 - 185, so head is ok, as there was loads of evidence on arrival of over heating issues and c*cked up thermostat housing and water pump inlet, broken and dodgy wires just water ,no coolant, weak cooling fan, dodgy fan switch, swapped to a high flow alloy rad, etc etc, tried a new ECU ,still the same , slowly but surly after replacing nearly everything, she is kicking at temp now and cooling down 10 degress and back up again, so no need for a head off and skim....

Alignment next and a few add ons.....
