Lower ball joint rubber.

Once the hub is out of the way cut away the old boot

Carefully wipe away the old grease. Use some tissue & throw away after each wipe.
This is important as it will remove any crap that may have got past the rubber through the split.

Now fold & wrap a bit of tissue & place it around the ball like so. This will prevent any more
crap getting into the joint.

Also a flat section of metal plate. It don't need to be this big 50ml square will do fine.

Also a G clamp. This needs to have about 100ml or more gate (gap between the two points when fully open).

If its a flimsy type of connector you may have to put a hose clip around it like so to stop it splaying over the new rubber when fitting.

Remove the bit of tissue you placed around the ball joint to keep it clean while removing the steel ring.

There you go. Job done :handgestures-thumbup:

Upper ball joint rubber.

Same as before you'll need a 40ml straight wast connector (you can use the same one to do this then you will have two tools in one)

You will also need a 40 to 32ml reducer like this.

If its one like this you'll need to cut off the end flange like so. But you can get them without this. Make sure its the type with the end remaining that looks like this one. Or just go to Wickes builders merchants, its the only ones they do :handgestures-thumbup:
