Blown headlight, retaining ring screws stripped

Postby craaazymonkey » Sun Oct 23, 2016 8:40 pm

As per the title, I had a blown headlight and got the replacement set from autolink. Came to replace glass housing and found one retaining ring screw was stripped on each side. No worries, I thought, I'll sort it sometime, I thought. Then today, the other one went as well, awkward. So I had no headlights, and a few miles to get home in the dark. Turns out, if you're ever in this situation, just take the top of the headlights off and you get really good access to the rear for bulb changing glory! Was so relieved to have light I thought I'd share it here. Apologies if you all knew this already, also for the wall of text.
