HELP!

Postby oe350z » Mon Jun 18, 2018 12:38 pm

So my car suddenly won’t start mk1 1.8 I’ve found a connector as pictured and can’t work out where it goes, there is also a fuel stenchwhat happens when I try and start it is the whole engine jolts and it doesn’t sound like the starter is even trying, I don’t think it’s the starter motor as when I tightened the fuel rail it seemed to try a little bit but then gave up, like the engine is about to start but then notices something and says no

any help would be appreciated!

That connection is for the power steering pump.....so have you had the fuel lines off?

Yeah we have we found why it’s not starting dodgy fuel injectors but we were just wondering where this wire came from, our model doesn’t have power steering fitted so assuming it’s just a null dead line we found haha
