The gearbox is a bit iffy on oils and reports say the better oils for this gearbox are two that are at the thinest end of the viscosity stakes.

Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle 75W/90 GL4 do not use any other Castrol oil in there
Redline MT90 GL4

You need two litres but be careful of which bolts you move as it can go badly wrong, see link below.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tsb/s05_112_02.html

The diff just needs any 75W/90 GL5 oil and uses 1 litre. Note not the same spec as the gearbox.

You also need 4 crush washers between 18.5 and 20mm inside diameter.

23mm and 24 mm sockets.

Torque the filler and drain plugs to 30lbft.

As always crack the filler plugs first before you undo the drain plugs.

Does it matter which 75w90 you use?
There's a fair few listed on Opie Oils, not sure which to order for my diff and gearbox.

75/90 semi synth/part synth for both the gear box and diff regardless of Mk 1/2/2.5, 5 spd (needs turret oil to, standard engine oil is fine) or 6/spd. LSD diff or standard.

What is turret oil?

So I can buy any 75w90, it doesn't matter which?

Another part for Autolink then? I feel I'm going to miss something when ordering everything from him.
