Rusty Mk3

Postby drumtochty » Sat Feb 23, 2019 11:22 am

MX5Restorer do a weekly video of what's in their workshop. This week they have a 2006 Mk3 with some rust issues worth a look for Mk3 owners.

No connection with MX5Restorer. The Mk3 section is 4 min 30 seconds in to the clip.

Seen plenty of rusty Mk 3's...they are not un'prone nor to being attacked by the tin worm....
Wait for the Mk4's...they will be even quicker to become red dust...

God that's depressing. Mine doesn't see the wet or dreaded salt all that much but that video makes me realise I really need to get some under seal sorted pretty damn quick...

Thanks for the video link! Loads of episodes to watch there.
Very interesting to see the full interior sill structure, but all that Mk3 rust makes me feel a bit sick...
Maybe looking for a Mk3 track car isn't going to be as easy as I thought!
