Eunos was the name given by Mazda to a group of "high end" cars to create a "luxury" marque, similar to Toyota with Lexus but was only marketed in Japan. This included a range of cars including a 2 seat sports car called "Roadster". The same car was sold as a Mazda badged as Miata & MX-5 in other territories. This ended when the Mk2 was launched so all Roadsters/Miatas/MX5s are Mazdas, not Eunos.

What does it say on your reg docs? Some importers got it wrong so you do get some Mk1 Roadsters registered as Mazda and some Mk2 Roadsters registered as Eunos (I've only seen this once) but in these cases it's the documents that are wrong.

Sorry for being so pedantic, it's the same car after all, it's just a name. However, we are all about the facts and telling the truth on this site :handgestures-thumbup:

Thanks for trying to explain the ins and outs of what seems to be the greatest enigma of the 21st Century not to mention the 'easy route to fail the MOT' test. If only the test could be carried out by robots at least then you would get a consistent adjudication on the finer points. I had a situation a few years back where the 'ride' passed the MOT but a year later failed because the tester (same as the year before) decided that the colour was not right. I pointed out in very polite words that if the light was good enough the year before then it should not fail a year later as no changes had taken place. If it had been a different tester it would have been a bitter pill to take but the same tester Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Way!
Anyway glad you have some of these clusters Wayne 'cos they are like rocking horse do do on the web. The big question is how much? Any discount for nearly being a senior citizen? Just one last question will it marry up to the bulb connectors on my wiring?
