Try it again, Ive just made a few changes. So far I got it working on FireFox and Chrome. Internet Explorer doesnt seem to work, but Im not sure if Im looking in the right place :S

Nope. But its changed the icon in my favorites

From experience it takes a while after adding it to the root before it shows in browsers...whatever you do with the cache. Last one I did took over a day to show up...

No, it'll show up sooner or later...as far as I can tell, browsers only check for a favicon every now and then.
