Nickname from school. The logic being that if Nick is short for Nicolas, then Rick must be short for Ricolas. Bunch of idiots at my school.

Mine comes from my cabby days, I went on a Easter weekend camping holiday with a bunch of cabby mates, and on the first evening I was singled out of the crowd in the clubhouse by the DJ (I was wearing a bright orange fleece) who announced me to everybody as the Tangoman!

On going back to work, the controller called me up on the radio as Tangoman and it just stuck!

When I bought my first MX5 in 2000, I was just creating a hotmail account & as I always had the roof down unless it was raining, I chose rooflessdriver.at.hotmail.

(Bit of a pain as it's so long & have to spell it to people as they think it's ruthless!)

Mine's boring really.
Full name Elizabeth but only the Mother calls me that.
To most people I'm "Liz" so Li5 seemed appropriate if a bit boring :-)

When I worked at the Pit in my late teens and early twenties someone said I was the image of Eddie Shoestring (a detective program at the time) this rapidly spread and everyone stated calling me Shoestring. CB radio had just come in around that time so I used it as a Handle. I moved away for work and got called Stuart again. Then many years later when I joined forums after getting a 5 and had to think of something I used it again, although "Broken old bootlace" might be more apt these days,
Wish I'd picked something different at times but WTF

Used to play an online game called Everquest. When creating a character you obviously have to choose a name.

It was summer , I looked around the room and saw 3 flies buzzing around the fireplace. Job done. Threeflies was born :coffee:
