Well, I took a few days off from the steering rack job.
Second hand clamps arrived along with new bushes.
To say they made the job easier was an understatement.
The old bushes were quite hard but the new ones were much more pliable allowing the rack to ease into place.
So rack in,new track rod ends, all pipework bolted up and secure, pump on,reservoir on and plumbed in and filled with fluid.
I'm missing a drive belt as my car doesn't have air con so have one on order.
So hopefully once the belt arrives is should simply be a case of bleeding the system to rid it of air locks and then take it for alignment.

I was just going to take the wheels off the ground and turn the steering from lock to lock until I have fluid in the system, then maybe start it and check for bubbles.
Or is there a better way?

Just a few more jobs to complete and I will be happy.
