MX5OC Track Day Charity Plate

Postby The Slickster » Mon Jul 11, 2016 10:42 pm

Hi Guys,

A week last Friday I met Wayne at his work and he gave me an envelope containing ÂŁ200 which was raised by helping owners do repairs to their cars at the event. I lent Wayne my company van to transport his tools/spare parts etc. to Blyton, and it was suggested by some of the menders to donate the money raised to the charity I support on the van, namely, The Honeyrose Foundation.

I have contacted Lynn Duffy who runs the charity and arranged to meet to give her the money. She was very grateful, and told me a receipt from the charity would be sent directly to Wayne at mazdamenders.net and he has agreed to scan it and put it on the forum to view.

Have been a bit busy at work, which is why it's took longer than I would have liked to post this, but gotta say a big thank for your efforts.

To find out more about the charity, go to their website on http://www.honeyrosefoundation.org.uk

Again, thank you for your efforts which I'm sure will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Tony Banbury

Hi peeps,
Quick update. I eventually managed to get to the Honeyrose Foundation, and made the donation on behalf of 'The Menders'.
It was very well received, and the certificate/letter of receipt will be forwarded on to Wayne's home address.
Next - and final - will be from Wayne, as he is going to scan/photograph what they send to him and post it on here.
On behalf of the Honeyrose Foundation, thanks again.
Regards,
Tony Banbury

p.s. Wayne, once again, please post this on Facebook page ;-)
