Music from 1979.... awesome, worth a look if you love that decade. So far highlights are Ian Dury, Gary Numan and Joe Jackson. Great stuff. Freeview 82. :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Do you think? I reckon there is a general truth in that but it should have been the eigthies for me as i really got into music in '79. All that spacey dark synth stuff, early (post disco) Human League, Gary Numan (who really got it so right and turned me onto music with his stuff from 78 until around 81), and early OMD. It sort of went a bit twee after that with the likes of Erasure, Howard Jones and The Pet Shop Boys - none of which did much for me. So i was growing up with the decade of the eighties but constantly found myself going back to the previous decade for real innovation: rock, disco, punk, new wave wave, glam rock. So many musical 'tribes' around then and lot happening in the 70's that got watered down by the likes of SAW mid eighties and general Neighbours type Kylie & Jason sh*te. So seventies for me all the way. I do shudder at the X Factor/Voice generation. Luckily, so does my lad and hopefully when he hits his teens there will be some good exciting stuff about for him instead of Simon Cowell type music by numbers. I am finding stuff that i never heard back in the 70's though, mostly rock and it was such a great and exciting time.
