Classic Restoration event NEC 22-24 March 2019

The MX-5 Owners Club have invited us along to their stand on the 22nd to the 24th of March at the Classic and Restoration event..

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... 4416942609 over the 3 days we will be taking apart a Mk1 NA and sorting her out and putting her back together even better..
From Menders Myself ,Daryl, Speedy and Andrew from Autolinkmx5 will be throwing spanners at her which jobs will be this time around...
New roof, Rain rail, everything cleaned, drainage trays and tubes..
Brakes stripped down cleaned serviced and balanced..fresh fluid...
Suspension swapped out for Meisters...
Engine hoses replaced, Rad, Seals, Pump, Antifreeze etc ..
Service.... filters, belts, plugs etc..
Replacement of the upper and lower gear shaft seals ...
Menders Ian Speedy Mcpolish and Marcus are doing the detailing side to the project roadster...if any one can bring life back to the paint finish they can...
Possible removal of A/C ? Dependant on time as the next attack at some point will be dash replacement plus many other things ..

There was two of us doing the polishing. We did Wayne's G-Ltd on the first day it was full of swirls and scratches.
First of all Clay Bar all over to remove dirt sunk into the paint.
Pass over with a dual action polisher and cutting compound, I prefer Menzerna 2500.
2nd pass over with a gloss polish again I prefer Menzerna high gloss 400.
Waxed with Auto Finesse Illusion show car wax.
